As an academic who has researched the assessment & feedback practices of creative arts educators I am appalled at the lack of awareness & understanding this government has in relation to the skills & aptitudes these disciplines foster in our nxt generation.

Why are we still trundling out the same 'Audio Feedback is better than Written'...Latest SRHE blog - dated literature, old paradigm feedback model, inefficent workload deployment & vain attempt to improve satisfaction. Not one mention of feedback uptake bit.ly/3JCmq6L

New paper co-authored with the brilliant team of @J1Mturner Dr Tünde Varga-Atkins Amir Rasooli Dr Tya Asgari & Will Moindrot Here we look at students’ perceptions of fairness in groupwork assessment: validity evidence for peer assessment fairness instrument tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

delighted that the conversation is still happening around this thorny issue tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…. Quick Google search suggests many universities are still using anonymous marking in their A&F policies. Has this changed students perceptions of fairness and its impact on NSS???

Enactment of Feedback still the lowest scoring metric in #NSS2024. How often does feedback help you to improve your work? = 72.7% & How clear is it that students' feedback on the course is acted on? = 63.3%. There is a lot for us to do to improve stu & teacher feedback literacy.

Do you struggle to find the time to give feedback to your students? In this article by Marion Heron, @KieranBalloo, Alina Husain & I, we show how you are probably giving your students a lot more feedback than you realise: tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

NEW on Wonkhe: Effective feedback allows students to experience the results of their decisions – and thereby refine their practice. Kathleen M Quinlan and Edd Pitt explain how it’s done bit.ly/43blEZj
