.@ari_marciscano gives a great (short) talk about a study he helped design as an National Cancer Institute #Immunotherapy Fellow combining tumor targeted cytokine (NHS-IL12) with bintrafusp Alfa (M7824) +/- SBRT for GU cancers. Study has “may proceed” letter from FDA Oncology now at IRB. #SITC2019

Any plan to reopen society MUST be driven by data and experts, not opinion and politics. We will learn from the warning signs from other countries. We will take every precaution. We will work together as a region.

Ok, I have to say something, especially as I keep getting pulled into in these posts. COVID-19 causes ARDS. I keep hearing the refrain that it is not ARDS because “the compliance is normal.”

I know this is hard. I wish I could say this will be over soon, but I can’t. We must make decisions based on the science and the data. Human lives are at stake.

Covid hypoxia can be so serious that the use of both ecmo and proning maybe needed. Also proning may provide other benefits. If you need help setting up your cannula for the rotaprone bed- we report how to do it here. doi.org/10.1016/j.rmcr… #MedTwitter #ecmo #COVID NYUPCCM

We are having to ration oxygen in one of the largest cities in one of the world’s wealthiest countries. #COVID19 is a respiratory virus. Oxygen shortages were predictable & preventable. If you aren’t angry, you aren’t paying attention. #MedTwitter

Why are endpoints and pt selection so important in RCTs. Lets unpack thrombosis and COVID. On rounds, I often say sepsis is not a proximate LAD lesion. it is no more true then the issue of when to AC pts hospitalized with COVID, each pt and the clot is not the same1/8
