Why are resident doctors striking? Fully qualified doctor: £38,800 Doctor’s assistant: £47,810 Name *any* other profession where an assistant is paid £9,010 more than their supervisor. Wes Streeting you continue to enable this farce when nhs funding is so scarce.

If I had a vote, I would vote to ensure no F1 is paid less than a PA. We cannot allow a situation where we are paid less than those who want to do our jobs without the qualifications or training. Or else we devalue ourselves. We support you. Vote YES Resident Doctors

The first two aims of the doctors pay review body when founded are they helping avoiding strikes and avoiding government suppression of pay? 1/2

Funny how doctors standing up for ourselves against the gaslighting and lack of respect is called "grubby blackmail." Doctors get guilt tripped everyday into subsidising the NHS at the cost of our own wellbeing If the media starts engaging respectfully, this dispute ends sooner

Given strike action around pay is back in the conversation, this seems relevant to repost. Today’s resident doctors are not worth the best part of £1000 a month less than I was. #payrestoration

As a senior doctor in the NHS, I FULLY support resident doctors’ call for a strike 1st yr doctors are paid £17.56/hr They are asking for £22.67/hr If Wes Streeting can find the money to pay their assistants £24/hr (?!) then he can find the money to pay doctors fairly!

Cllr Zander West 🌹 Dr Haseena Wazir Resident Doctors With the current government offer, we will achieve full pay restoration in 15 years. This is too long. We want a higher offer to achieve FPR within a reasonable time frame. No one remains a resident doctor for 15 years

TaxPayers' Alliance Funny how the government use RPI to justify extortionate interest on Resident Doctors loans But heaven forbid anyone else use it Two tier system

Adam has the drive, aptitude and commitment to study medicine. He will be paid considerably less than someone who doesn’t. Vote yes 🦀🦀🦀

Look out for an orange envelope in the post this week - the ballot for resident doctors in England closes 7 July. Doctors deserve fair pay. Vote Yes. #PayRestoration #DoctorsStrike

It’s interesting to see the former Health Secretary trying to weigh in on the resident doctors dispute. Steve Barclay - you had your chance to fix this. Instead, you doubled down on refusing to negotiate, and were reshuffled out of your role after failing NHS staff. Let’s be

I was on the fence about this, but will be voting YES to take industrial action. This year's offer is far from anything resembling full pay restoration. Frankly, it is insulting. I would encourage my colleagues to vote YES. We should demonstrate resolve.
