In Ulaanbaatar, I had the pleasure of meeting H.E. Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade, and H.E. Purevsurengiin Naranbayar, Minister of Education and Science. We explored avenues for strengthening Somalia-Mongolia cooperation in education, diplomacy & trade.

Visited Alibaba HQ in Hangzhou with our Commercial Attaché Guled Warsame. We shared Somalia’s NTP priorities & discussed collaboration in fintech, logistics & e-commerce. Somalia is ready to be a logistics & innovation hub in Africa. Thanks to the Alibaba team for hosting us!

Meet Aisha, a young journalist, who recently became the first-ever female cameraperson for the President of Somalia. She inherited her artistic eye from her late father, Hassan, a renowned Cameraman who was tragically killed in the 2009 Shamo hotel bombing.
