Well, I chose to do a degree in physics because of the ‘hard’ maths - I saw the beauty in it. Then I became a teacher to show others how to see that beauty. The girls I taught were brilliant at the maths. This kind of negative female stereotype is so damaging.

Absolutely delighted to be awarded an Emerging Leader Fellowship award by ERUK and the opportunity to investigate inequalities in epilepsy!

The pandemic has shown us how sharing the right data, with the right people, at the right time, can save lives. It’s time to apply those same concepts to epilepsy research.
