Congrats Fauziyya Muhammad, MD, Ph.D on this new published work in Geroscience. Specific tests of motor function may be a new way to evaluate disability in cervical myelopathy. Nothing against mJOA but can add to existing tests! #spine

Our examination of lesion characteristics, bowel, bladder and overall function is now available online! Thank you JSCM! I learned so much during this project, and am very excited about our results! doi.org/10.1080/107902… CU Rehabilitation Science Andrew C. Smith, PT, DPT, PhD Craig

MRI scans predict recovery from spinal cord injury. Great work Dario Pfyffer and team! Link to The Lancet Neurology article here: tinyurl.com/3cdsxxjs med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/…

Excited to announce the pre-release of the #opensource MuscleMap Toolbox for the assessment of #muscle from #MRI (and CT). While we are starting in the lumbar spine, we will be expanding to the whole body and releasing models for new regions soon! Huge effort by Eddo Wesselink!

The morphology of the spine is a great marker of injury in Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy. This injury spans noticeably far PAST areas of direct compression. See our new paper in The Spine Journal! Excited to see our workin Spinal Cord! Led by grad student Grace Haynes, shows that Magnetization Transfer MRI predicts degrees of clinical injury in myelopathy. growing evidence for use of these markers! Fauziyya Muhammad, MD, Ph.D Ken Weber, DC, PhD University of Oklahoma Neurosurgery Ian Dunn

Thanks Zachary A. Smith, M.D. for the invitation to present on #MRI markers in spinal conditions to OU Neuroscience. It was great meeting with students and faculty and hearing about all the exciting research coming from University of Oklahoma Neurosurgery. Looking forward to growing our collaborations!

Automated assessment of #spinalcordinjury with #MRI now available in Spinal Cord Toolbox (SCT). Thanks for leading this huge effort Jan Valosek, Naga Karthik, and Julien Cohen-Adad! Innovative research maps lumbar muscle health in 3D led by Ken Weber, DC, PhD bit.ly/3YYQeSj 🧠 Why it matters: Intramuscular fat (IMF) in lumbar paraspinal muscles plays a critical role in low back pain (LBP). This study unveils the first 3D spatial distribution of IMF,

Very happy to share our latest pub, a case-series exploration on tissue bridges and TSS for SCI UE recovery! This is Jordan Connor's first paper as a PhD student in CU Rehabilitation Science, and a fun collaboration with Wesley Allen Thornton, @CandyTefer1216, Ken Weber, DC, PhD, Dario Pfyffer. (1/2)
