It’s after 5 p.m. PT, and there is still no decision on the House settlement. In 31 days, DI athletic departments are scheduled to begin paying out more than $1 billion to athletes. There are currently no real rules, very little enforcement and minimal regulation.

With the House settlement’s approval, a thread… The settlement - negotiated by plaintiffs seeking back-NIL pay and NCAA/power leagues - has 3 main parts: 1) $2.8B in back-pay to ex-athletes  2) $20B+ in rev-share to future athletes  3) New roster rules & enforcement arm

Opting in/out: - schools have a choice to opt out of settlement terms, thus prohibiting them from sharing revenue - many FCS & basketball-playing leagues will have a mix of opt-outs/opt-ins - there is on-going debate on competition between P4 schools & those that opt-out

Addressing misunderstandings about NIL Go clearinghouse - deals struck starting today are subject to NIL Go & must be submitted when it launches June 11 (not today) - publicly traded companies are *not* exempt from NIL Go scrutiny for FMV/comp range if deemed an associated entity

Congratulations to Coco Gauff for an amazing championship at the French Open — the first American singles champion at @RolandGarros in a decade. You make us all proud.

The golf outing comes at a pivotal moment in college sports history - two days after the approval of the House settlement and two weeks after the president paused the work of a college sports commission. The three men are expected to discuss the industry’s future today.

Threw my wife a surprise 40th Birthday party yesterday, and that was my first time ever planning an event like this. To say ya boy got overwhelmed at certain points in planning these few weeks is an understatement, but o see that beautiful smile made it all worth it!

So an alligator was hit by a car by our house. This alligator that I've always heard of but assumed was a myth was in fact real! He had a name and everything. These folks are mourning this gator in ways they dont even mourn people!

The most un-athletic people always have the most harsh criticisms about athletes. Its crazy that you can't do a tenth of the things this person can do, but yet you're the loudest in the room and even go personal with the disrespect. Insane!

Per Elevate, two power conference athletic departments have entered into an agreement for this private capital funding. It was only a matter of time.

All eight members of the new Pac-12 have signed their Grant of Rights and membership agreements, a conference spokesperson tells Yahoo Sports. It is a signal that the league is finalizing a new media rights package that is expected in the coming days.

The media rights package is expected to feature as many as four different partners, sources tell Yahoo Sports. The package paves the way for the league to formally offer invitations to expansion targets. The conference needs one full-time, FB-playing member to reach FBS minimum.
