Attention Radiologists: describing these fractures as minor superior endplate insufficiency fractures makes it sound mild or a small finding. This patient has 10 out of 10 pain and cannot ambulate. The L3 fracture is certainly not minor. Please call them acute or subacute VCFs

Unfortunately, I see this all the time. An adjacent fracture w/ increased signal involving the superior endplate and underlying subchondral bone not mentioned on the MRI report. These are clearly adjacent level fractures, esp w/ a Kyphoplasty level above it an 83 yr old female.
