2 year results of REVIVED-BCIS2 Trial: PCI did not improve the hierarchical composite of death, HHF, and health status at 2 years. PCI improved KCCQ-OSS at 6 months, but not sustained to 1- or 2-year follow-up. jacc.org/doi/10.1016/j.… JACC Journals #JACCHF

In an analysis of REVIVED-BCIS2, #PCI did not improve hierarchical composite of death, HHF, & health status at 2 yrs, although did improve short-term KCCQ-OSS (not sustained). PCI should not be recommended to improve long-term health status. bit.ly/3ZH6sBJ #JACCHF

The most shocking trial in modern cardiology continues to find no signal of PCI benefit, despite enrolling pts most likely to benefit. How the “clogged pipe” frame of thinking persists despite such evidence amazes me.

The under-diagnosis of #HFpEF is a clinical problem. This study suggests there's an enhanced issue in Black pts w/ HFpEF, as predictive diagnostic systems may be biased in favor of the comorbidity patterns more prevalent in White pts w/ HFpEF bit.ly/3XAlIO6
