As a candidate for President of the RCP, Dr Asif Qasim MA PhD FRCP has been highly recommended to me by someone with good judgement - I can't vote for him myself as I am of the anaesthetic persuasion, but those who can, should! Here's a video of him at the EGM dissecting the College on PAs:

Reports from Financial Times show 6k+ applicants for just 1700 training posts last year. Doctors are being left in limbo, without posts and unable to progress in their career. In an understaffed NHS this is a scandal. Government must urgently increase training posts. ft.com/content/ddb51eā¦

Looking forward to a great day of training in all things coronary and structural at Imperial Valve & Cardiovascular Course with Iqbal Malik, Neil Ruparelia, Arif Khokhar et al Millbrook Medical Conferences

Often I don't comment on twitter, BUT the UK high court ruling today saying there is no confusion between doctors/physicians and PAs (Physician Associates) by misspelling on the first page Royal College of Physicians calling them the Royal college of PAs is embarrassing beyond belief!

This is a chart I'm saving to teach medical students about the dangers of statistics without the awareness of context. Hint: What key change to the terms & conditions of Resident Doctors in England occurred in 2016 that Lucina Rolewicz and @shaunlintern failed to mention?
