I didn’t know you could feel as alive or full of purpose as I did in the back of a helicopter. My finest and most tragic moments were in the air. I am forever indebted to the fierce and wonderful people I practiced with and the crews that delivered us safe every single time.

Oh so you went to space? Well I honored my general surgery rotation. We’ve all done impossible things in the harshest environment imaginable.
