Sad reflection of the decline also in clinical medical academics. A job planning failure to recognise teaching & assessments of the next generation of highly skilled expert doctors. Doctors do not aspire to mediocrity even if others might. That’s unnecessary, unsafe & untenable.

It’s getting really unclear just what the GMC does do help doctors raise legitimate concerns when they are ignored. Read this thread & taking a view yourselves. I cannot condone breaking the law, so I conclude that the law & GMC must change for the sake of patients & the planet.

100%. Would indeed probably be calmed by full staffing - doctors, nurses, allied professionals, other occupational groups, porters, cleaners, healthcare support workers etc. This patient safety crisis has been engineered by multiple leaders complicit in selling a false narrative.

Appalling to still be in this desperate situation, where patients live & die in corridors, with little to no dignity, feeling isolated & terrified; a lived reality of too many. Amazing staff try their best. But we can no longer call ourselves a civilised society until this stops.
