The American Cancer Society Society launched a 30-year study last week to study racial inequities in cancer diagnoses and death among Black women. They plan to enroll 100,000 Black women ages 25 to 55 in the U.S.making it the largest study of its kind ever conducted in the country.


So grateful for your leadership in this space Loneke T. Blackman Carr, PhD, RD. I finally had a chance to read this paper today and am grateful and challenged when I think of my future work.







It was an honor to write for the UNC Eating Disorders blog, Exchanges, on how Arab/MENA Americans are positioned in psychological research; and namely, how the simultaneous invisibility and hyper-visibility (per previous scholars) of Arab/MENA folks perpetuates health disparities.





If we Christians won’t at least consider what it does to our witness for Jesus when the world sees viral Christian outrage over the Olympics, but not over Sonya Massey, hungry school kids, or a politician hawking Bibles, we aren’t taking our faith as seriously as we think we are.
