After Bill Clinton’s brainless 1998 sanctions on India, it has taken a quarter century to heal & repair the India-US relationship. Relations will prevail, but Trump has reminded a whole generation of Indians why that subliminal distrust of America isn’t so irrational.

USA is continuing to buy Uranium from Russia until it deems convenient. EU is buying natural gas from Russia until they develop alternate sources, in order to not make its citizens suffer. But India doing the same for its citizens is unacceptable to them. Bunch of hypocrites.

Losing on the Leeds surface was understandable, but thus surface at the Oval has a lot for the bowlers. It will be a body blow for India if England chase these down #ENGvIND

India failed to defend more than 370 plus in the fourth inning. The Indian failed to chase 180 in the fourth inning. Welcome to Gautam Gambhir Era.

9 Test losses in 13 Tests. I don't know any other country that plays top-tier Test cricket where a head coach will survive after this. One of the darkest periods in Indian Test history #INDvsENG

If BCCI is serious about our pace bowling department then they need to contact Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra or Ishant Sharma asap. Morne Morkel is of no use tbh

Contrary to popular opinion, 3-1 sums up the series perfectly. India winning more sessions etc is irrelevant. Whenever things were in the balance, England went full throttle and closed the game. That ruthless execution in their good phases is exactly where the series was won.

Truth is one catch went down and mentally Ind gave up. Bowlers except Siraj poor. Defensive fields when you had upper hand, winviz shows 70% win chance to Ind and on ground you see shoulders dropping. 374 can’t be defended on this pitch is unacceptable. RevSportz Global

Siraj keeps running in for all 5 matches. Not one other fast bowled has played more than 3 and yet each one has looked unfit and jaded. Each one except Siraj has failed the team. Morne Morkel- accountability? Fitness wise? And Kuldeep sits out all games. RevSportz Global

#INDvsENG BCCI With a good batting line up, d most u cud achieve is draw a test but 2win a test series u need an effective bowling line up which has been missing in dis Indian line up. D best Aussie test team didn’t swap der Mcgra/Lee/Warne/Gillespie 4 bowlers who cud also bat!

This is poor. Why do we have to be back out by 6.42pm?? Why can’t the game finish tonight? Bad look for Test cricket. You can bet your life the sun will be shining by 7pm…

Bright sunshine at the Oval now. Believe we could start by 6:42 pm local time - which is still 24 minutes away. That heavy roller played a role in this being called off along with ECB wanting another day five finish?

Stuart Broad (@stuartbroad8) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Still 20 mins away from possible start time, everyone has their sunglasses on at the train station. Felt the supporters deserved to see a finish to that Test Match today. Felt a lazy decision to call it off at 6pm in my opinion. I wonder who makes it?

Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I am glad there are people other than me asking why the covers couldn't have come off in time to allow us to witness an extraordinary climax. Now we come back tomorrow but the heavy roller can be used and that can be a game-changer.

Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) 's Twitter Profile Photo

No, not at all. All I wanted to say was that we had 45 mins and in many parts of the world, they run a super sopper and try and get the covers off as quickly as possible. It might still have not been possible but I would have liked to see some effort made.

Boria Majumdar (@boriamajumdar) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I know Morne Morkel said there was a lot of water on the covers etc but by 605pm the sun was out. Was it truly beyond the grounds men? And yes the heavy roller. Was that a consideration? Part of home advantage? RevSportz Global
