I do an infographic syllabus. BUT my uni won’t accept the infographic as the official syllabus for decent reasons - can’t be read by a screen reader, for ex. So instead I make an infographic Course Guide. I call it a “friendlier, more thorough” version of the syllabus

I finally know how to be a successful academic: - Get big grants and publish a lot - Be an excellent instructor - Serve on ALL the committees - Be awesome at email - Exercise - Eat your body weight in grams of protein daily - Drink water - Sleep, bc there’s obv time for that

Today’s @cnn 5 things email refers to “hygiene products” when they could have just said “tampons” or even “menstrual products” in the lede. It is a poor show that a major news outlet chose a word that infers menstruation is dirty. Words matter. #menstruation #periods #tampons
