Maybe we should find a better system than Capitalism?

How capitalism"works": (1) employers underpay wages to boost profits, (2) squeezed workers cannot afford what employers need to sell, (3) employers lend their boosted profits to underpaid workers, adding debt to their problems.

Capitalism’s greatest success has been convincing us that exploitation, inequality, grotesque overconsumption & the decimation of our life support systems is ‘normal’. It isn’t. And all our futures depend on us waking up to this truth.

Your right to be alive shouldn’t be conditional on your contribution to society. No one should ever have to prove they are “deserving” of their humanity. Whether unhoused, unemployed, or unable to work — capitalism shouldn’t get to decide whether your labour makes you human.

What stage of capitalism is it when a company that got a government bailout and that is paying shareholder dividends is also stranding its customers during the holidays while federal regulators do nothing?
