It’s the big day before the really big day! We start with Line 89 this morning. We will update once the parade departs CHS.

A shooting occurred in a house across the street from Eastside. The victim ran to the school parking lot for help. All students are safe. Suspect in custody.

The shooting happened at a nearby residence to Eastside Elementary. It did not involve the school. Very few students know there was an incident in the parking lot.

This appears to be a domestic incident at a residence. Suspect in custody. All students and staff are safe and we will continue on regular schedule and operations for the day.

Thank you for your patience during the emergency this morning. Thanks to Eastside staff for caring for the victim until medics arrived. Let me reiterate that the shooting happened at a residence and not at the school. Suspect is in custody.
