This was us at bonfire night, but now T's not able to get a cup to his lips. The diminution of our little boy in front of me and Rebecca Thomson-Glov's eyes is simply tortuous. An 11 month slow decline with its bitter end approaching. #braintumour #childhoodcancer

Never loved the "fighting"/"battling" cancer descriptions, maybe because we've known T was going to lose for the last 11 months, but you can see the tug of war rope between brain tumour and the fit / physiologically strong person slowly moving towards the #cancer end. Rebecca Thomson-Glov

T has left us. Rebecca Thomson-Glov and I worry where he is now and wish we were there to look after him. Hopefully we will meet him again and he will have fulfilled the dreams he made for himself in this world.

4 weeks since T died. Thank you for so many lovely messages. And to all at Liverpool Cathedral and Philip Anderson for such a meaningful and moving service last week. We're taking in some beautiful countryside - places T loved. There's just one thing missing from this idyllic photo - T

Third day back at work across Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS and Liverpool Women's University Hospital. My colleagues have been wonderfully supportive. It's strange going back.T wasn't part of my work life but I miss him dropping into the home office to get things whilst trying to stay off the video!#itsthesmallthings

Back at work for over a month now. Have had wonderful support from colleagues Liverpool Women's University Hospital Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS & Kaleidoscope H&C. But not all plain sailing! So some tips for dealing with a #bereavedparent over next few days. Number 1: don't start any sentence with "at least"

Second tip for #bereaved #Parents back at work: in answer to "have you moved on?" No, I haven't moved on. I won't be moving on. I may be accepting of my loss, but moving on has tinges of wishing to forget and that is the antithesis of what I want to do. Rebecca Thomson-Glov Claire House

We talk about #makingmemories when children and babies die. There's an industry behind it - memory boxes, charms etc Also need to remember that whilst memories are great, the inability to make new ones is tough, permanent and a constant reminder of loss. Rebecca Thomson-Glov

Unbelievably sensible comment from Dr Malte Gerhold. The hard bit is implementation. Need a bit more honesty about those difficulties from suppliers #Rewired23

It's taken me less time to move through the junior doctor grades than it did last time I worked as a junior doctor. ST1 this morning, ST5 this afternoon and onto Consultant on Friday! Great team caring for women Liverpool Women's University Hospital today. #JuniorDoctorsStrike

5 babies delivered today by me Liverpool Women's University Hospital. It's always an honour to deliver someone's baby. Every parent has their own story. Joy and sadness in equal measure. Yet today has been filled with hope.

In 2 weeks' time we'll (hopefully) have finished a cycle ride in memory of our son Thomas. It starts in Liverpool and ends in South Wales. Two days, 270km,with a climb over the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park mountains. Raising money justgiving.com/crowdfunding/g… for Claire House The Brain Tumour Charity Molly Ollys

.Rebecca Thomson-Glov got this prediction right ie that after a period of enforced abstinence, lots of people would go out and have sex(and pick up the odd disease whilst they were at it!). #someexpertsgetitright

It's done. Nearly £10k (and still counting) to share between Claire House Molly Ollys and The Brain Tumour Charity. A few accidents, maybe a broken bone and a mended bike. Thanks to the riders, support crew and everyone who kept on going, just like Thomas did until he couldn't.

Wonderful to see BishopSarah raise this question in the House of Lords and reference the scheme Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS has been running in #Warrington for the last 6 months in conjunction with NHS Cheshire and Merseyside's people board.
