Thank you Perpetual Limited for the tremendous support for my research program via a prestigious Ramaciotti Health Investment grant. I aim to improve the diagnosis and treatment of first seizures and #epilepsy in Australia. Thank you!!

A few interesting patterns๐ค 1) Prolonged EEGs (ambulatory/EMU) seem more prevalent in the US than in other high-income countries. 2) The decision to diagnose epilepsy/start ASM is quite variable, almost a 50-50 split. Excellent Practice Current survey by Fรกbio Nascimento's team.

Getting excited for my 11pm First Seizure Clinic talk with the #epilepsy team at NYU Langone Health, NYC. There's some great advantages to working in Australia, but time zones aren't one of them ๐

Thanks #genderequityvic, #monashwomenshealthalliance, @AAMRI_aus, and WomensHealthVictoria for this inspiring event focused on closing the #gender gap in #health #research and #treatment. It was an honour to present!

Thank you Neha Dietitian (nehadietitian.bsky.social) for championing this terrific program to support consumer advisors involvement in #Epilepsy #research at Monash STM Neuroscience. An immensely important and necessary step to ensure research and its outcomes is relevant and accessible to our community ๐๐ช

Great talk from Pablo Casillas-Espinosa MD, PhD on the importance of including all sexes in medical research The Epilepsy Society of Australia

Hobart gave us a beautiful morning before our national #epilepsy conference. The Epilepsy Society of Australia
