A1. I'm a huge list maker 🙄! My lists prioritize things that I must take care of asap, things that can be delegated, & things that belong to others but which I need to follow up on. This is so much easier when U have strong teams that can manage the low hanging fruit! #VAESPChat

A2. I oversee all things spec ed. Last year we had 2 teacher vacancies, creating extra work for those that remained. I took on paperwork and filing in order to relieve some of the pressure. This is something I need to give back since it does not directly impact kids! #VAESPChat

A3. Emails... emails... emails...🤣 Communication is important, but it can take up SO much of your day!! I focus on F2F communication 1st, & try to chisel out time @ the beginning & end of the day for emails. Being able to schedule emails is SO HELPFUL! TU Google! #VAESPChat

A4. That quote "what gets measured gets done" is always in my mind. If it's a priority, then we need to be talking about it, thinking about it, pding about it... As leaders we model the school's priorities through our actions, our talk, and our focus! #VAESPChat

A5. I stink at work/life balance 🙄! After a knee injury a few of years ago I have struggled w/ getting back into running which I know is so good for me - physically and 4 my mental health. My goal is to get back @ it in Nov.! Be sure to ask me how it's going 😊 #VAESPChat

A1. Student agency - students having the ability/opportunity to take an active role in their learning, make choices, and shape their learning experiences. #VAESPchat

A2. It is more important than ever to engage Ss in their learning. You do that by making that information relevant to them, allowing them to make connections, discover their passions, and make decisions about HOW they want to learn, and what they want to do with it. #VAESPchat

A3. This takes trust and confidence that you (the T) have set up the routines and expectations that will allow learning to be student led/centered. Model it in your PD and fac meetings! Allow teachers to try and fail! Adults want that agency too!!! #VAESPchat

A4. Student talk - students sharing their thoughts, opinions. Student choice - being able to decide what and how they will studey a topic. Students giving and receiving feedback from one another. #VAESPchat

A5. I will be present in classrooms more. I will be present in classrooms more. I will be present in classrooms more. I wil be present in classrooms more. I will be present in... That's the only was I will see what is happening and can encouarge this shift!! #VAESPchat
