My friends. Voting is nigh in the US and I need you all to realize something. Any vote that is not for Kamala Harris (including abstaining) is effectively a vote for Trump. Statistics don't care about you making a statement on the Biden admin not doing enough for X or Y issue.

Fellow US voters. I will fully agree that #Harris and #Biden don't have the best track record on key issues like #Gaza and #TransRights. #Trump, however, has been promising to make all these problems worse. Don't let him. Don't cut your nose to spite your face. #VoteHarris.

My dear friends. Get out there and #VoteHarris like Palestinian, LGBTQIA+, PoC, and Women's lives depend on it. Because, make no mistake folks, they do. And I truly wish this was hyperbole.

With Republicans in control of every branch of government, Project 2025 is an inevitability. Like Reagan before him, the effects of Trump's presidency will be felt for decades to come. Like millennials and gen Z today, future generations will suffer for it in no small measure.

My fellow immigrants. Do not get caught with your pants down. Start making a plan to exit the US now, because you may need it starting January. Your immigration status DOES NOT MATTER. Those of us who are here legally are in just as much risk as illegals.

I've seen folks giving in to despair, mourning that the Trans movement is over. As a PoC migrant, I get feeling scared and defeated at this time, but I want my Trans friends to know one thing. As long as you're here, it will never be over. Trans rights are human rights.

If you subscribe to the theory of anacyclosis, I think it can be argued the US is entering its Anarchy/Mob Rule phase. Meaning that, at barely over 200 yrs old, America is managing to speedrun the collapse of an empire.

While it's starting to feel less cozy and more heavily populated than before, I'm kinda happy to see BlueSky growing rapidly while Xitter begins it's well-deserved withering into oblivion.
