Going back and reviewing my notes, it appears Southern Miss CF Jake Cook tied the all-time record for the 30-yard dash at the MLB Draft Combine. Jeric Curtis ran a 3.50 in 2022. Cook matched that yesterday. I think he also smoked the all-time broad jump record at 128 inches.

One of the state’s top arms is coming back to Birmingham! This summer in the Cape Cod League with the Bourne Braves, Stevens boasts a 0.50 WHIP and a 11.25 K/9 heading into the final week of June! Welcome home, Jonathan Stevens!

Tucker Stockman (Tucker Stockman) returns behind the plate for Southern Miss Baseball after starting 52 games last season. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound redshirt junior made a huge jump last year, hitting .332/.414/.474, and continues to improve. He looks like a middle-of-the-lineup bat.
