An award-winning publication by Dr. Gavitt Woodard, a thoracic surgeon at Yale Thoracic Surgery, provides data to support what a minority of surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists have been trumpeting for decades about the fallacy of radical lung resections. AATS

Congratulations to Dr. Woodard et al for this spectacular publication. I consider it one of the most important studies of the year for early-stage NSCLC. I hope it inspires meaningful discussions about minimizing not only the length and # of incisions, but also the amount of lung

Hari B. Keshava Sandip Patel MD FASCO Narjust Florez, MD, FASCO Misako Nagasaka Drew Moghanaki Brendon Stiles Stephen V Liu, MD Linda Martin Patrick Forde I recommend checking out the CM816 OS, the outcomes by molecular profile from 77T, the first report of NeoADAURA findings and the complete data on arms 1, 2 and 4 of NeoCOAST2! Lots of great data that will inform practice and the next generation of phase 3 trials!

This bill would further optimize the already high quality of health outcomes studies generated by VA Research. As similar bills did previously, providing VA with perhaps the highest quality suicide database on the world.

People looking for change often hurt societies by lowering expectations. They would be more effective by making time to develop creative solutions that instead “shift expectations”.

Watch the Harvard University Commencement speech to hear an address by DoM's own Abraham Verghese. We’re beyond proud to see his voice and vision recognized on this national stage. ➡️ youtube.com/live/wFIo795BX… #Harvard25

I’m a fan of the 9LA regimen. It has worked wonders in pts running out of options. Best part, many report tolerating it well.

This is a major story from #ASCO25. Randomized phase 3 trial of time of day of immunotherapy infusion. Randomized to infusion before or after 3pm. Early infusion far superior: PFS 11.3 vs 5.7 HR 0.42, OS HR 0.45! Impactful, pragmatic, not costly. This should be a bigger story.

#ASCO25 📣Ongoing Mississippi low dose #lungcancer screening trial ➡️ >30k patients involved! 🫢< half of patients who developed lungcancer would have qualified for screening! 👀 high proportion of non-smokers ⚖️Differences in OS - nodule vs risk screened cohorts ASCO OncoAlert
