Today was the start of the Belgian Pavillion at the 19th Architecture Biennale in Venice. Minister Caroline Gennez inaugurated the exhibition ‘Building Biospheres’ by Bas Smets and Stefano Mancuso, examining the impact of plant intelligence on architecture.

Back in the Netherlands and Belgium today with an early start and a full day of trainings. Followed by a visit to the Grand Commandery of Alden Biesen, a former headquarters of the Teutonic Order, and a dinner with an address by Minister of State and former NATO SG Willy Claes.

All roads lead to Rome, especially here in the 🇳🇱 City of Maastricht - a former Roman fortress on the river Meuse. Great exchange with Mayor Wim Hillenaar in City Hall on the ‘most European of all Dutch cities’ and the European project that we are both invested in: Einstein Telescope
