NEW MUNGA RECORD! Namibia’s Drikus Coetzee has won the 2023 The Munga in a new record. The ultra-endurance specialist clocked 47 hours 37 minutes for the 1070km race from Bloemfontein to Wellington. The previous record of 50 hours 30 minutes was set by Ramses Bekenk in 2018.

Drikus Coetzee has won the 2024 The Munga. The Namibian clocked 54hrs30min for the 1130km race from Bloemfontein to Wellington. It’s more than four hours off his course record due to relentless headwinds and a one-hour penalty for inadvertently leaving the race route last night.
