This is the kind of homelessness policy Doug Ford aims to import from America. Oregon's Deschutes Forest was evicted even though residents living in the forest have nowhere else to go. And if they stay? Imprisonment. Why is Ford importing Trumpian policies that make no sense?

In Waterloo region, ~ 40 homeless men in a 26 bed shelter were even more homeless (!!) when it closed May 1. There is, literally, nowhere to sleep etc. except outside. Bill 6 will jail and/or fine them for existing. That’s Ontario’s plan. Boo.
