Big day ahead with the launch of my book Laois: The Irish Revolution, 1912-23 in Portlaoise Library. A big thank you to Charlie Flanagan and Seán Fleming for agreeing to launch my book. All welcome to attend.

An honour to launch with Seán Fleming Cormac Moore's excellent account of the turbulent period of 1912 to 1923 in Laois covering the 3rd Home Rule crisis, First World War, 1916 Rising, 1918 election, War of Independence & Civil War. A really enthralling read.

The Polis, the Dublin Metropolitan Police force, was absorbed into Garda Info on this day 100 years ago. This event on Saturday, in the Castle, is a great chance to hear a bit about policing in the City in the early 20th century.

Congratulations to Dublin City Historians in Residence Cormac Moore on the publication of his book 👏👏👏
