West Brook, Cambs looked like this in Feb, it's now drying out and good wader habitat is appearing. Dunlin, 3 Common Sands, 2 LR Plover tonight with 3 Yellow Wags and White Wag with Duerden Cormack Cambs Bird Club

Another lovely Redstart this morning at Clopton, S Cambs Cambs Bird Club 63 birds in total 19 Blackcap, 14 Garden Warbler, 5 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Grasshopper Warbler with Duerden Cormack Tree Pipit and Marsh Harrier over.

Excellent day Spurn Bird Observatory chaperoning Lars Svensson around the ringing sites at Church Field meeting TJ MOVED TO BLUESKY and at the Warren with Jacob Spinks & Charlotte Foote, now on Bluesky. It all got too much for Duerden Cormack who was blown away with the occasion! #Migfest24


62 Blackcaps ringed at Clopton, S Cambs this am, with 2 Willow Warblers, 4 Chiffchaff, Reed Warbler, Song Thrush and Reed Bunting. Almost all Blackcaps are juveniles - like the young male in the image, still showing some of its brown cap that's going black. Cambs Bird Club
