Congratulations to our undergraduate researcher Adira Lunken, who has been accepted into STROBE Science & Technology Center’s summer research program! 😎 strobe.colorado.edu/education-outr…

Congratulations to Gordana Dukovic for being one of 171 scientists, artists, writers, and scholars who were named 2023 Guggenheim Fellows by the Guggenheim Foundation (GuggenheimFoundation). #guggfellows2023 gf.org/announcements/

How does heterogeneity affect the absorption spectra of (Ga1-xZnx)(N1-xOx) nanocrystals? In our article from Ben Hammel, Leah Hall et al, valence electron energy loss spectroscopy reveals absorption spectra with nm spatial resolution! The Journal of Physical Chemistry STROBE Science & Technology Center pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

What a great day! Congratulations to the chemistry Nobel laureates. Here is a “first reaction” interview with Gordana Dukovic’s PhD advisor and wonderful human Louis Brus.

In our latest paper, a study led by our collaborators at NREL used cryo-annealing and EPR spectroscopy on CdS quantum dot-nitrogenase biohybrids to probe intermediate states in the catalytic cycle of nitrogenase DOE Office of Science J. Am. Chem. Soc. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

Now in The Journal of Chemical Physics: Shulenberger et al. report that biexciton transient absorption spectra of CdSe quantum dots have lower intensities than usually assumed and uncover the impact of surface chemistry on exciton and biexciton spectral shapes and intensities. pubs.aip.org/aip/jcp/articl…

Congratulations to Gordana Dukovic for being named one of eight 2024 Brown Investigators. We are excited about the new research directions that this award will make possible!

Two is better than one! Check out our paper in ACS Nano from Shaun Gallagher and Jessica Kline looking at ligand binding equilibrium and blinking in perovskite QDs. Collab with The Rappe Group and Dukovic Lab pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

We are delighted to contribute to this great work from IMOD STC Ginger Lab and The Rappe Group

Great job Ben Hammel

Well done Hao Nguyen Ben Hammel and the rest of the IMOD STC team!

Fall ACS meeting in Denver is in full swing; we have many group members and alumna Katie Shulenberger floating around
