Serious question, what is the point of a referee looking at the monitor when the decision is always gonna go one way. Has anyone seen a different decision in the PL ever since VAR's introduction? What's the point of those monitors when they can talk between themselves and decide.

Manchester United gambled all along in this window. INvesting heavily on players without making sales (which they still need) is a risky play. At this point, I doubt whether they can even sack Amorim, and the only way to get him out is if he offers to resign without any severance

Chance for Arsenal to slay some demons here with Bayern and Olympiacos. Overall I’m content with the draw, tougher matches at home. Away travel distances aren’t extreme. Good chance to measure up and to test the belief that this is a top 3-5 team in this competition.

So Newcastle got their Ekitike alternative. He can play alongside Isak as an I side forward of sorts. Good move, big W for NUFC.

Lineup thoughts - The defence should stay as it is. Should we start Eze in some capacity, it better be on the left, rather than centrally. Merino should be a good shout in a midfield-three, gives us balance, especially if Odegaard is not fit to start. If Ode starts then Eze left

Having Merino as an extra midfielder would be a smart move for Anfield, especially if Arteta can trust Eze to weave his magic. Im going with a midfield three of Rice-Zubi-Merino especially if Odegaard is unfit.
