If you care about our inshore waters please respond to this. 'Fisheries management' impacts every one of us, as the wrong gear in the wrong place impacts biodiversity and marine carbon sinks.

Labour promised “change”. What has that looked like? Failing WASPI women, cutting winter heating payments and keeping people in poverty. While Labour offer rhetoric, I am focused on delivering progress for Scotland.

We need to nail this lie; ''Necessity of farmed salmon in meeting global demand for affordable protein.'' Fish that humans eat are taken and milled to feed farmed #salmon. Farming salmon is a polluting, unethical and illogical way of producing protein. salmonbusiness.com/salmon-controv…

Trump Tariffs Explained: Trump is charging 10% tariffs on UK goods. He's charging 20% tariffs on EU goods. In November it was estimated that 20% tariffs would cost UK 0.8% GDP. So let's say this means today's tariffs will cost us 0.4%. So Brexit saved us 0.4% GDP in US trade,

EU fishing rights in Scottish waters extended for 12 years. We had no say in the matter. It costs England nothing to bargain away what isn't theirs.

There’s been a lot more heat than light in this week’s political reporting of UK-EU deal on fishing. Read our new blog to explore what the deal really means for coastal communities and our seas… openseas.org.uk/news/what-does…

On world oceans day we recall: 10 years ago Scottish Government designated 37% of our seas as MPAs & published Assessing the options for change, on the benefits of an inshore limit on trawling. We still await the MPA management measures & have zero low impact fishing zones #InshoreLimit

We stand in solidarity with colleagues working around the world to protect the sea. Scotland is falling behind much of the rest of the world in its fisheries and marine management, the time to act is now. If you want to read the report mentioned in the video you can do so
