Had confirmation today from Transport Secretary Mark Harper that thanks to recently confirmed additional funding, Shropshire will receive almost double its current annual road funding on average over each year of the next Parliament. Great news for local road users.

Inflation back within normal range is very welcome. Interest rates more than double the inflation rate should now allow BofE to start to cut rates. I hope those facing mortgage interest renewals will see lenders start to offer lower rates in anticipation of lower bank rates.
