Our U15 Girls opened the season away at Burnopfield CC last night. In glorious sunshine, we pushed hard but fell just short in the run chase. Some strong performances with bat & ball — plenty of positives to build on! Well played Burnopfield & thanks for hosting. #DurhamCityCC

The midweek 3rd team travelled to Ryhope this evening and came away on the wrong side of the result despite runs for Luke M and Nick H. But back at Green Lane the Durham City CC Women & Girls U11 girls team played their first ever hardball fixture and posted a very fine win. 👌 🏏 💥

History made! Our U11 Girls played Durham City CC’s first ever hardball league match tonight. Rain & thunder cleared, a rainbow appeared — and 6 girls made club history as our first U11 hardball players. A great win v Hetton Lyons. The future is bright & colourful! #DurhamCityCC

First win of the season for Durham City U15s! Jess P (35*) and Amulya (50*) helped us to 116, with Lottie G making her first knock of the season. We defended it well with consistent bowling and great team fielding! Well played all!

Congratulations to Littletown CC who were better than us in all depts last night. Runs for Erik M & wickets for Ethan H were some consolation for City. Over at Palmers Close the u15 girls had a fantastic win with 53* for Amulya V and Grace O & Lee E spearheading the bowling. 🏏

Points for both snr teams today, albeit in very different circumstances. 1st XI were on top form at Mainsforth. The two Georges and Ben S were excellent. CBC took 4/26 and Jim T took 4/6. Joe T 55* led the response. Lots more photos of today’s game on the club’s Instagram page.
