Cardiomyocyte spare respiratory capacity (SRC) is maintained by a mitochondrial protein called ROMO1. Our study shows that the loss of ROMO1 prevents cardiac hypertrophic growth and that this loss of ROMO1 contributes to worsening heart failure. Check it out here👇🏼👇🏼
