We’ve got a rising urology star! We had a great month with Kimberly Waggener, MD

Special thank you to KARL STORZ Urology for an incredible resident didactic and simulation session for our residents! We had the opportunity to learn about new advances in endourology as well as simulate PCNL access and ureteral reconstruction. Endourological Society Amer. Urol. Assn.

#SWIUScholars weekly feature 📚 “The findings suggest that patients treated by female surgeons have a lower risk-adjusted likelihood of adverse postoperative outcomes at 90 days and 1 year following surgery.” Christopher Wallis (he/him/his) et al in JAMA Surgery tinyurl.com/4az72n6t

Grateful for the opportunity to experience #SUFU2024 with the Wake Forest Urology crew and present our research. I had the best time meeting new friends and reconnecting with amazing colleagues!

Nothing like #SUFU24 to get excited about the future of our field. Had a blast presenting, and always grateful for the Wake Forest Urology crew

Disappointing to see urologist Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. perpetuating hateful rhetoric about DEI in medicine 👎🏽 📢 Initiatives that diversify our workforce are NOT dangerous 🚨We NEED physicians who identify with the communities we serve ‼️Data shows that this IMPROVES quality of care

Best thing about Wake Forest Urology - we are a team! Supporting each other at the gym, supporting each other at the podiums! #SESAUA

Thankful for another successful Southeastern Section annual meeting with the Wake Forest Urology family. Feeling very fortunate to have so much support from Dr. Atala and Alejandro Rodriguez, MD, FACS allowing us to have such a strong presence in the section. Amer. Urol. Assn. #SESAUA2024

One of the things I will miss most about this residency is the strong sense of tradition. Today we had our annual end of year softball game sporting 80’s attire. Proud to say the chief’s team took home the W and the hardware to match! Wake Forest Urology

Every year we have an annual softball game with the Wake Forest Urology residents and partners. It is definitely a highlight of June graduation festivities! Huge special shout out to Dylan Wolff for an electric 80’s mullet game

Congratulations to Wake Forest Urology Chief residents Tyler Overholt Daniel, MD Justin Refugia, MD Adam Cohen, MD for matching to great fellowship programs! So proud for you! Great future ahead!

Very impressed by my colleagues Wake Forest Urology for their stellar representation at the AUA Summit this year. Four (!!) of our residents were supported to attend by Wake Forest and Southeastern Section⭐️

Congrats to our residents who presented at Southeastern Section! We had 15 total presentations and a quiz bowl candidate. Kudos to Kimberly Waggener, MD for best men’s health podium, Dr Cohen for best kidney poster, and Tyler Overholt Daniel, MD for first place in the HT Leon imaging competition. Well done all! 👏

Thankful to Wake Forest Urology Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine and specifically #StephenWalker #BobEvans and Gopal Badlani for organizing an amazing #GlobalConsensus conference on #IC/BPS - informative, innovative, inspiring Jennifer Anger, MD, MPH H Henry Lai

Honored to present our committees work on phenotyping in IC/BPS at the Global Consensus meeting. The Wake Forest Urology team presented incredibly. A great opportunity and many thanks to Gopal Badlani
