Grateful for the thoughtful letter from Tata Memorial Hospital. Our reply in Annals of Surgical Oncology stresses: refining surgical selection in gallbladder cancer is not optional — it’s an obligation. Modern imaging (EUS, PET-CT) brings preoperative certainty closer than ever.Gallbladder Cancer Foundation AHPBA

Previous open Whipple studies failed to consistently reduce pancreatic fistula. Was it a limitation in execution all along? 🤔 This new single-center study shows a 3x lower CR-POPF rate with robotic PD vs open (10% vs 33.3%) — despite (or bc) not being powered for it. Encouraging
