Hello everyone! We are the Electrochemical Society student chapter at the University of Michigan, advised by Dasgupta Research Group, Sakamoto Research Group, Prof. Yiyang Li, and Prof. Stephen Maldonado. Please join us for our first events later this month!

Our first event will feature Juergen Janek presenting his talk: "'All-Solid' to 'Almost-Solid'- How Solid will Solid-State Batteries get?". We are honored to have Prof. Dr. Janek here for this seminar, please join us!

Last night, our ECS student chapter attended the ECS Detroit Student Chapter event featuring Tu Le! Pictured are our chapter with the ECS Detroit chapter and Tu Le, and our 4 chapter officers.

We were honored to hear Prof. Juergen Janek present his talk today, titled "'All-Solid' to 'Almost-Solid'- How Solid will Solid-State Batteries get?"! There was a great turnout of students and professors attending. Thanks to Sakamoto Research Group and Dasgupta Research Group for organizing!

It was a great pleasure co-hosting the President and MD of Customized Energy Solutions, India, Dr. Rahul Walawalkar, with the UM Battery Club. His talk titled "Electric mobility transition pathways: Comparing US and India Experience" was deeply inspirational for the many attendees.

Huge thank you to Dr. Liang Wang and other representatives from Toyota USA for coming to speak with us on: "From Fundamentals to Frontiers: Exploring Proton-Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Innovations at TRINA." We look forward to future collaborations!

We celebrate a fruitful month of September! Kathy Ayers, vice president of Nel Hydrogen, gave an engaging talk on MI Hydrogen. We also attended a ECS Detroit Student Chapter seminar hosting Ying Shirley Meng! Congrats to Daniel Liao and Chris Woodley who won 1st and 2nd best poster at the event!
