This afternoon, Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, Rebecca Tepper, and members of our team testified in support of the Mass Ready Act – a historic $3 billion investment to strengthen our infrastructure and prepare our communities for extreme weather.

The Mass Ready Act is a down payment on our future! 🌱✨ Tom O'Shea O'Shea was pleased to join Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll + Rebecca Tepper in support of this historic investment in nature for wildlife + people.

Just last week, we experienced flash flooding in Braintree, Quincy, Weymouth, and Boston, which left drivers stranded on washed-out roads. These events are becoming more dangerous and frequent. Governor Maura Healey’s Mass Ready Act will help us prepare for and avoid emergencies.

We all have a part to play in the fight against hunger. Each week, volunteers at Family Pantry of Cape Cod shop for 800 families who need fresh, healthy food. While Trump cuts food assistance, I just created the first statewide task force to end hunger in Massachusetts.

Massachusetts has seen how devastating wildfires can be. That's why when others need help, we always answer the call. Grateful to the team of MassDCR and Massachusetts Dept. of Fish & Game firefighters who've been battling wildfires in Alaska. You are the best of the best — glad you're all home safe.
