Penultimate Friday Celebration for EEHK Elementary had the final K-2 certificate recipients. Congrats to all who show Spartan Pride day in and day out.

On Friday, the 4th grade braved the rainy weather for their trip to Living History Farms. Mr. Blake's class visited the farms and Ms. Petersen's class explored the town.

Monday night K-5 students had their Spring Concert. It was a night of familiar hits and smiling faces. Thanks to all who came out to support the kids and Mrs. West (in her last concert at EEHK).

Beautiful May weather means classes are getting outside more and more. Yesterday, 5F went on a 'nature walk' with AM Preschool. They even got to see a wild bunny.

Students who achieved their April AR goal got an "extra recess" trip to Legion park on Wednesday. Even the adults enjoyed themselves...

E-EHK Elementary's final Friday Celebration brought 3-5 certificates and Reading Core graduates. Well done Spartans!

Congratulations to our JH lady Spartans Track team for breaking the 4x800 school record at the JH state meet in Waukee today. Olivia Poldberg, Lexi Brown, Skyla Rasmussen, and Joshlynn Jacobsen!

Another school record hit! JH lady Spartans break the school record in the Sprint Medley Relay with a time of 2:10.99 Skyla Rasmussen, Andi Reisgaard, Olivia Poldberg, & Olivia Johnson!

3rd Grade had an excellent bike rideo yesterday. The sheriffs department came an talked about bike safety. They even had Mrs. Bauer involved!

5th grade had a big day on Tuesday! First they visited the middle school to help them have a better understanding of what's to come this fall. Then in the afternoon, they hosted a Veteran's coffee where they sang a couple patriotic songs and listened to Vets tell their stories.

Tomorrow is Elementary Track and Field Day! We're ready for a beautiful (& windy) day! K-2 will be from 9:00-11:00 and 3-5 will be from 1:00-3:00. See you there!

Wednesday was "Community Impact Day: Spartans Give Back" K-1 cleaned up around the school. 2-3 cleaned up Legion park and the town square. 4-5 went out to littlefield to clean and spruce up out there. Well done little Spartans!!!

The EEHK BOGO book fair will be open to the public in the elementary library on Thursday, May 22 until 6:00 PM. The BOGO fair will move to Tivoli Fest at the Petersen Ins. building in Elk Horn open from 8-4 on Saturday, May 24 (closed for parade). Stop by to stock up for summer!

Happy Memorial Day Spartans! On Thursday (5/22), Elementary students finished their school year with a "fun day" including inflatables, picnic lunches, 5th grade candy superlatives, and our final Purposefull People Hall of Fame Awardees! Happy Summer!!
