Excited to share our first preprint with Judith Zaugg EMBL! We screened 1,296 transcription factors for repressors that block unwanted plasticity and found many putative tumour suppressors. PROX1 stands out as hepatocyte safeguard that prevents #livercancer. biorxiv.org/content/10.110ā¦

A question of identity - amazing work by Moritz Mall and Judith Zaugg labs from DKFZ and @EMBL on cell plasticity in #liver #cancer. Congrats to all authors, especially Bryce Lim & Aryan Kamal!

š©āšSo proud of our very first #PhD @aureliasaftien for successfully defending her thesis on #fungi š. Thanks Aurelia for all the awesome science, legendary memes, and shaping the Microbiome & Cancer Elinav Lab at DKFZ division PhD student culture. Congrats Dr. Saftien! š

Great DKFZ Immunology Infection and Cancer seminar afternoon with Kai Kretzschmar from Universität Würzburg #UniWürzburg. Fascinating insights on Kai's & his group's work on stem cells & differentiation patterns in the oral cavity and related cancers!

Great #NVBMB #conference experience with the Christian Büll Lab at Radboud University yesterday! Nice (and long...) roadtrip with the Epithelium Microenvironment Interaction Lab @ DKFZ team š

Do you want to study #cancer #microbe interactions using #organoids and #organ #chips? Have a look at our guide to in vitro co-culture platforms, just out in International Journal of Cancer with Hans Clevers Eran Elinav Jens Puschhof and my fellow Epithelium Microenvironment Interaction Lab @ DKFZ colleagues: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ijā¦

Our new #organoid #organchip #coculture review. Congrats Kamil Moskal, Yeseul Lee, Luisa Siegert, Nimisha Khurana from Epithelium Microenvironment Interaction Lab @ DKFZ DKFZ! Cool experience connecting the dots between in organotypic models and microbiome with Hans Clevers and Eran Elinav!

I've never been more excited to be (a very minor) part of a collaboration than this tour-de-force by Microbiome & Cancer Elinav Lab at DKFZ ElinavLab. Groundbreaking approach to figure out where all those proteins in your stool come from. Congrats Rafael ValdƩs, Avner Leshem, Danping Zheng, Eran Elinav!
