🤝 #FeelGoodFriday: Getting the lead out – community action for healthier living! As part of EPA’s ongoing community lead awareness initiative, EPAers from our New England office joined Groundwork RI’s youth green team in Providence for a training session on lead.

🌊 As part of EPA's work to protect Long Island Sound, our scientists recently surveyed two EPA-designated dredge material disposal sites. Their work to map the seafloor & test sediment helps monitor the conditions of these sites and ensure environmental compliance.

🎣 Fishing for answers, scientists and field crews from our lab work with Maine DEP to continuously check the water quality at Spruce Creek in Kittery. We're keeping an eye on rising nutrient levels in the creek that deplete oxygen in the water. Fish need oxygen too!

📢 News from the GE-Housatonic River Superfund Site: Beneath Silver Lake in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, a protective sediment cap covers the lake bottom. Over the past 2 weeks, crews placed clean sand on lake bed areas requiring additional material to help meet cleanup standards.
