In addition to be one of the most sustainable sequencing platform, Oxford Nanopore (by-)products can also be used for sustainable vegetables growing 😎 🍅🍆🍉🫛🫑🥬 (Here is the wool insulation used to keep reagents cool 🧊❄️)

Another annual general meeting over for France Genomique ! 144 attendees from 27 platforms came to Evry, and visited the SeqLab Genoscope and the CNRGH Institut de Biologie François Jacob Thank you everyone👍

A slide is worth a thousand words. At #ASMicrobe, Ryan Wick shared a fantastic presentation 'In Pursuit of Perfection, bacterial genome assembly from 2016 to today', including this recent Klebsiella isolate genome assembly of 99.99995% identity (Q63.0) using Oxford Nanopore data alone

Direct native RNA (no cDNA!) sequencing from Oxford Nanopore is revolutionising RNA sequencing. It already achieves 19.4 Q accuracy and can detect modifications like m6a, m5c, pseudouridine and inosine. Watch my colleague Bronya Boydon explain how it works. youtube.com/watch?v=9qiClB…

A new generation of short reads sequencers, with unprecedented performance and lower cost per Gb, is now available on INRAE Genomics platforms : #AVITI from Element Biosciences at GeT_Genotoul & Gentyane and #NovaseqX+ of Illumina at EPGV within Genoscope. France Génomique

Thanks SPTLabtech for this very informative demo of the firefly ! Eager to play with and implement our protocols to strengthen our genomic processes 💪

A very interesting day for EPGV at the annual meeting of GAFL with local breeder, with Javier Belinchon presenting new results from his PhD (still with Oxford Nanopore NAS) and Patricia presenting applications of sequencing and genotyping on plant breeding… + many fascinating local talks 👍

It's out ! 🥳 Great job Javier Belinchon ! 👍 A great collaborative work between EPGV and INRAE Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, CNRGV - INRAE, GENOSCOPE/UMR Genomique Metabolique and SeqLab Genoscope demonstrating the power of Oxford Nanopore adaptive sampling to characterize NLR resistance genes in plants 🍈🧬 doi.org/10.1186/s12864…

EPGV is present at AGBT Meeting agriculture meeting in Orlando ! Come to meet us at Javier Belinchon poster, and discuss amazing science 🧬
