The Witham Community Special Team attended the annual Dog Show organised by Witham Town Council. With stalls, food outlets, events & awards for pooches over the day it was a 'pawsome' opportunity to engage & provide a visible & reassuring presence. #YouSaidWeDid Witham Town Council

The Community Beat Surgery coincided with the Witham Hub holding an event to support Dementia Awareness Week. Activities & a Virtual Dementia experience created a great opportunity for some practical understanding of life with dementia & helps us attending incidents The Witham Hub

On Saturday we conducted speed checks in Witham & Hatfield Peverel. Highest speed measured was 37mph in a 30mph limit & from 200 vehicles recorded we only stopped & spoke to 2 drivers. In both locatons we were praised by residents in our role to improve road safety. #YouSaidWeDid

In promoting #NationalVolunteerWeek I was able to assist with a drugs warrant in #Witham in my volunteer Community Special role. Following this, I continued to patrol with another volunteer Special Constable with foot patrols, engagement & visibility #CouldYou #YouSaidWeDid

First to Manor Road recording the arrival of visitors before a Community Beat Surgery in the town centre. I recorded crime, promoted recruitment & engaged with families. Heading on to the #RiverWalk, a lost dog was quickly returned home & intel gathered for future investigation

CCTV enquiries led me on to foot patrols in the town centre with a visit to several stores before heading down to the DuckPond & on to the Humber Road estate to deal with an incident. Fortunately, I was then in the right location to seize an uninsured vehicle. #YouSaidWeDid

Speed check on Cressing Road with drivers & pedestrians praising our presence near the crossing area. Visible foot patrol in the town centre, mobile patrols & attended 3 varied incidents. Assisted paramedics on the RiverWalk. 2 people spoken to regarding E-Scooters. #YouSaidWeDid

Speed assessment on Maltings Lane, Traffic Offence Report for speeding 42mph in 30 limit on Maldon Road. Incident on the Riverwalk. ASB/Criminal damage checks on premises, Mobile patrols around Haygreen & Purcell Road, foot patrols on Allectus Way, assisted officer on A12.

Speed check on Rickstones Road, warning several drivers before reporting a driver for 45mph in the 30 limit. Engagement foot patrol on Templars estate, premises check in the town & attended the local youth club before searching for suspects in a robbery #YouSaidWeDid #VisionZero

The Witham Community Special team were invited to lead the #Witham Carnival procession through the town and it was great to see everyone lining the streets. The carnival is another great example of the Witham community coming together. Great engagement on route & in the park.

Foot patrol was order of the day & we purposefully visited local businesses & talked with staff before lots of positive engagement on patrols around town. We also visited the Hatfield Rd estate & Cypress Rd in response to residents requests for more visibility. #YouSaidWeDid

Engagement foot patrol & Community Beat Surgery The Witham Hub before supporting victim & conducting house 2 house enquiries for a recent incident. Speed check of 100 vehicles in 2 locations on Spa Road and Maldon Road with drivers visually or verbally warned. #YouSaidWeDid

Foot patrol began in Flora Rd & the Humber Rd estate, across the park to the RiverWalk & then into the town centre. A car failed to stop & a motorbike through red lights can be expecting action. Town park, shopping area visibility & I monitored concerns on zig zag parking zone.

High visibility in the town centre, E-Scooter seized. Targeted patrols around Gershwin pond, dealt with incident on Hatfield Road estate, concern in the town centre, challenging incident of ABD (Acute Behavioural Disturbance) & first on scene for a rapidly spreading garden fire.

Mobile patrols at Southfields, disrupted anti-social behaviour on Dorothy Sayers Drive & visible foot patrols in the town. Stores visited to provide reassurance followed by speed check on Collingwood Road where residents thanked me for my presence. Foot patrol on the #RiverWalk

Witham Council held a commemorative service for the 1905 train tragedy that claimed 11 lives but could have been catastrophic if not for the quick thinking of 3 signalmen that were able to warn an inbound train. I am glad in my role I could represent part of the Witham community.
