#Hiddenpeacebuiders. Day 3 of Workshop at Ateneo de Manila University. Interesting to discus how spirituality can contribute to peacebuilding under the facilitation of Pr Emma Tomalin, Professor of Religion and Public Life at the University of Leeds. Thank you Dear Emma Tomalin.
Exciting evening with students of Developement Studies Program|Ateneo de Manila University where Pr Emma Tomalin and Dr #TheoMbazumutima were presenting on Religion, Peace and Conflict. That was really brilliant. 👉The ambivalance of religion highlighted. #Hiddenpeacebuiders.
What’s the role of researchers in conflict contexts? How does one call out religion if it enables violence? Speaking before engaged students, Prof Emma Tomalin and Dr Theo Mbazumutima inspired a series of critical questions about faith-based peacebuilding. ☮️ Ateneo de Manila University

Good morning from Gitega 🌞🌴♥️ where our research team, in collaboration with World Vision Burundi, is holding a #donoharm workshop for religious leaders from the country. #HiddenPeacebuilders
As many of you know, I moved to work in the University of Leeds in Sept. 2022. All my partnerships with the World Health Organization (WHO) & national governments did so too (& this collaborative work was greatly enriched by the involvement of talent across Arts, Humanities and Cultures, University of Leeds & as well as across University of Leeds.
I am now delighted to report to you that the Centre for Global Health Histories I built between 2010 & 2022 has transferred over to the University of Leeds. The website is now live, thanks to help from our exceptionally helpful colleague, Dr. Joanna Phillips: ahc.leeds.ac.uk/dir-record/res…
As Head of History at Leeds, I am focussed on many administrative duties & some research cum engagement work with World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations partners. The day-to-day direction of CGHH will lie elsewhere, in the capable hands of Professor Emma Tomalin, Professor Shane Doyle and Dr. Kat Rawling.
I will remain involved as an advisory board member, along with many wonderful colleagues, which includes our Executive Dean, Professor Andrew Thorpe; several fellow Heads (Professor Joanne Crawford & Professor @jpitches68) & Dr. Papiya Mazumdar (POLIS/Social Sciences).
The University of Leeds's Centre for Global Health Histories welcomes collaborations from around the world. ahc.leeds.ac.uk/dir-record/res…
