Arrived in Singapore for the Shangri-La Dialogue. I am looking forward to meeting Singaporean leaders and the defence community to deepen ties between Europe and the Indo-Pacific. Our security relies on strong partnerships and rules-based cooperation.

After almost 5 years, my tour of duty as Ambassador of EUMyanmar (so proud of being part of such a great team) has come to the end. It was a life changing experience, the people of #Myanmar have amazed us in so many ways and so many times I don’t even know where to start.

We have witness the legendary generosity and dignity of its people, we have learned the true meaning of resilience and how powerful and liberating an act of kindness and a smile can be

Myanmar deserves to be at peace, its people free from the terror of bombardments, of being conscripted to fight for an army they don’t wish to belong to and to be able to have a dignified job. Most of all, they should be ruled by those who they wish to rule them

One day, Myanmar will be again a peaceful country, its people free and prosperous and they will find strength and inspiration from their diversity. The world should not forget Myanmar and we will never ever.
