EUCAP and Somaliland Maritime Security Coordination Office hosted a high-level Maritime Security Conference last week in Hargeisa. The event brought together government insts., international orgs and key stakeholders to strengthen coordination & info-sharing in maritime security.

EUCAP completed a 5-day training for SL Coast Guard delivered by the Mobile Training Unit in Berbera. Topics included search & rescue, maritime safety, environmental protection & anti-trafficking. Participants will share knowledge to boost operational capacity & ongoing learning.

This week, an @EU_EEAS delegation visited Mogadishu’s Federal Darwish and General Dhagabadan Training Centres to see EU security support in action.

#EUCAPSOM & UNTMIS jointly trained 🇸🇴 maritime officers on Vessel Traffic Management & Info System (VTMIS). This system will help Somalia monitor & protect its waters more effectively, prevent incidents and respond to threats. Initial VTMIS deployment in key coastal areas soon.
