EVOLVE highlighting that we don’t talk to our patients about #prognosis. Only 46.9% patients with adv. #cirrhosis are referred to #palliativecare and 79.1% of patients with #decompensation are referred only during their terminal admission. We must do better. #bsglive2023

Palliative care is really important - lots of work nationally going to identify how we improve this like EVOLVE . Principles are about managing symptoms and improving quality of life and referral to palliative care formally can help support this
