We are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in heterogeneous catalysis and electrochemistry with a focus on kinetics and mechanism. Applicants can email me ([email protected]) with a CV, statement of prior research, and one-page research proposal.
Excited to share the first original research article from the Krishna Group in Applied Catalysis B ! doi.org/10.1016/j.apca… We elucidate the redox pathways by which greenhouse gas N2O is reduced by NO and NH3 over iron-zeolite catalysts, an important technology for renewable NH3 engines.
Proud to sponsor these 25 incredible scientists at this year's annual meeting! #AIChE2024 #WICisYOU American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
Check out our work in Chemical Engineering Journal on aldolization over MgAl oxides using a reversible "trans-situ" titration method to show the importance of the strongest base sites. DFT led by Prashant Deshlahra also assesses the ability of metal vacancies to drive this catalysis. authors.elsevier.com/a/1k0XJ4x7R2kQ…
Happy to share our recent work in Journal of Catalysis Journal of Catalysis where we show how structural changes to Pd sites in PdCu/zeolites impact heterogeneous Wacker oxidation catalysis! doi.org/10.1016/j.jcat…
Our latest research on catalytic oxidation over dilute-limit PdAu alloys is now available in Journal of Catalysis! Here we show that Pd promotes ethanol esterification more so than simple oxidation, even when Pd is isolated. Great fun with some great collaborators! authors.elsevier.com/a/1kOvQ4-S8nLM1
Had a great time visiting Theodore Walker and Jesse Bond at Syracuse this week, talking about my group's efforts to understand the role of ensembles in catalysis by dilute-limit alloys. Also very excited by the work being done at Syracuse; looking forward to it coming out!
The Spring Symposium of the New England Catalysis Society is coming up on May 9th at WPI. Register today here: forms.gle/T9PS3bPMFs4Axa… Poster/oral abstracts are still being accepted until May 2 here: forms.gle/Sa6eUDZXDAUkvu… Looking forward to our keynote talk from Elizabeth Biddinger!
Congratulations to the winners of the New England Catalysis Society's Spring 2025 poster session! 1st: Felipe de Faria Teixeira (WPI), 2nd: Saleh Ahmat Ibrahim (UMass Lowell), 3rd: Success Eghosa Aiwekhoe (UMass Amherst). Also thanks again to Elizabeth Biddinger for a fantastic keynote!
