Honoured to be re-elected as leader of Green Party Ireland, and absolutely delighted that Janet Horner has been elected as Party Chair. We will continue to be an essential voice in Irish politics; for climate action, for helping families and for equality across our entire society.

We have to stop burning fossil fuels. They are the reason our electricity is so expensive and as the UN Secretary General António Guterres said recently the road away from āClimate Hellā will be paved by renewables.

Itās time to be more targeted in allocating active travel fundings. Those councils willing to build with ambition, speed and low-cost solutions should get most of the funding. Those who donāt should be asked to come up with more ambitious plans. #greenway irishtimes.com/opinion/2025/0ā¦

The latest ā¦EPA Irelandā© projections raise real alarm about the need for more climate action but some of the data could also give you hope. As this table shows in the last 5 years we came close to meeting our targets. Change is possible once youāve the right political will.

Iām glad to have taken on a role as a high level advocate for the ccacoalition.org/content/climatā¦.
