As we kick start the project #From Mines to School, we visited target districts to pitch to them and identify spots in the different mining sub counties in which are heavily affected. This aims at involving further all the stakeholders at all levels. #FromMines2School

At Karita SC in Amudat District in KARAMOJA REGION meeting with the Sub county official in a quest to inform them about the FM2S project.

Together with Education Advocacy Network we met with Amudat district leaders in Karita sub-county and jointly agreed on strategies for successful implementation of the "From Mines To School" project including setting up mobile schools supported by Oxfam in Uganda with funding from EU in Uganda.

Yesterday in #Amudat district, Karita Sub-county, we met with District Officials for Further discussion about our project #"FM2S" and spot where to put our mobile school. They appreciated our ideas and later we had an engagement with the community of Kokwochaya (Gold mining site)

At Karita Sub-County, Amudat District, we engaged sub-county officials to introduce (FM2S) Project. Together with ResourceRightsAfrica , we also visited Kokwochay Village, where one of the mobile schools will be located. The LC embraced the initiative for a brighter future! EU in Uganda

Together with Education Advocacy Network we are on ground in Karamoja sub-region creating awareness to parents to take their children back to school instead of being in the mines.We use puppet theatre to dialogue on the importance of education with funding support from Oxfam in Uganda & EU in Uganda.

Together with Education Advocacy Network,we held a puppet theatre show/community dialogue at Lokalimon village,Lotisan s/county,Moroto district. The community has appreciated our go-back-to-school campaign under our "From Mines to School Project" being supported by Oxfam in Uganda and EU in Uganda.
